Restaurant Workers Robbed at Gunpoint

Two employees of a Victoria Avenue restaurant were closing up Sunday night when an armed robber locked them in an outside storage area and made off with several hundred dollars, police said.
Authorities said the workers were locking the door to Millie’s around 11:45 p.m. when they were confronted by a man with a gun. He forced them back inside and had one of them, the night manager, open the safe. He then took them back outside and locked them in a storage area.
Ventura police arrived after the robber’s exit from the restaurant triggered a burglar alarm.
“This guy was a pretty cool and calculated individual. He was pretty calm,” Ventura Police Sgt. Bob Anderson said. An investigation continues but no suspects have been named, he said.
