Chapman Baseball Wins Ninth Game in a Row
Chapman won its ninth consecutive game Tuesday night, defeating Whittier, 14-3, in a nonconference baseball game at Hart Park.
Eric Albright led the way for the Panthers (26-2) with two hits, including a double, and four runs batted in. Pitcher Bobby Sunderland (5-0) and two other pitchers held Whittier (18-15) to five hits.
In Golden State Athletic Conference softball:
Cal Baptist 12-2, Concordia 8-5--Concordia (14-23, 3-9) rallied with a four-run third inning in the second game. In the first game Concordia’s Melissa Naylon had three hits, including a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored.
In nonconference softball:
Azusa Pacific 10-5, Hope International 4-1--Alisa Arrigoni had a double and a home run for Azusa Pacific (24-18-1) in the first game.
