The Children’s Museum at La Habra will hold the seventh annual “Gourmet Guys Raise ‘Bread’ for Kids” event from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. The fund-raiser is the museum’s biggest event of the year and features more than 100 amateur gourmet cooks competing in 14 categories. Professional chefs and restaurant owners will judge the meals and award gold, silver and bronze medals. The public is invited to come and taste the finished meals. The cost is $35, and those who attend can enter a raffle for a trip to Hawaii or $2,500 in cash and other prizes. Proceeds go toward the museum’s programs.
