FOUNTAIN VALLEY
The Fountain Valley-based Orange County Water District is encouraging guests at hotels and motels to help conserve water by agreeing to use their sheets and towels more than once.
The district is supplying permission cards for the hotels and motels to give to their guests.
“I saw this program in place at a hotel in Arizona, and I wanted to give people staying in Orange County’s hotels and motels the opportunity to help us conserve as well,” said district board member Kathryn Barr.
The Orange County Water District is sponsoring the program along with several other local water and sanitation districts.
