Home Robbers Take Cash and Jewelry

Police are searching for two gunmen who entered a house, tied up one of the residents and took $100,000 in cash and jewelry Tuesday.
No one was injured in the robbery that began about 10:35 a.m., said Det. Jim Gerardi of the Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood Division.
The robbers walked into a house in the 11700 block of Hartsook Street through an open rear door, Gerardi said. Armed with semiautomatic handguns, they tied up a man and forced two women to open a safe.
Police could not say if the robbery was connected with a string of home-invasion robberies in the West Valley. But they are asking anyone with more information to call the North Hollywood station at (818) 623-4061 during weekdays or (818) 623-4016 nights or weekends.
