The City Council, acting as the Redevelopment Agency, will meet at 7:30 p.m. to review final drafts of two development proposals for the Fox Theatre.
The agency’s executive director will recommend the council consider a plan proposed by local businessmen Paul Berkman and Douglas Chaffee, which includes a dinner theater, restaurants and affordable senior housing atop a parking structure.
If the council approves that plan, the theater’s owner will waive a $100,000 fee allowing the city a three-month period to buy the property.
In addition, the council will review a second proposal by performing arts instructor Dana Morris, which calls for a venue for live theater, music and film screenings plus a performing arts youth academy.
