Babies R Us Wins Award for Safety Promotion

Babies R Us in Oxnard was awarded the annual JPMA Baby Safety Month Award for its promotion of car seat safety during September, according to Jon Reynolds, chairman of the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Assn.
This is the second consecutive year the Oxnard store has won the award.
Babies R Us hosted a monthlong blitz that included daily safety seminars for new and expectant parents. In addition, the store provided car seat safety checks, during which more than 60 car seats were inspected in one weekend.
Baby Safety Month is sponsored every September by the JPMA. This year’s observance focused on safety issues surrounding car seat installation. Retailers across the country were encouraged to hold in-store promotions and were provided with free baby safety brochures to distribute to their customers and free posters for their stores.
The JPMA is a national trade organization of more than 330 companies in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
