DANA POINT
The City Council is slated today to vote on the Dana Point Harbor Dock Walker Program, which is intended to increase boater awareness of water-quality issues affecting Dana Point Harbor.
The program, modeled after the Volunteers in Police Support Program, will use volunteers to distribute information from the Clean and Green Boating Program and the county’s Bilge Pad Recycling Program.
The volunteers also will provide support to the Harbor Patrol by reporting fuel and waste spills and assist the county by identifying trash and litter problems.
