Chapman College’s Leatherby Center for Entrepreneur and Business Ethics selected resident Kent Roberts for this year’s Ethics in America Award.
The center, which works with the Passkeys Foundation, gives the award to people who have shown ethical integrity in the workplace, college officials said.
Roberts is owner of Roberts Realty, a 71-year-old family business and the oldest member of the La Habra Chamber of Commerce, which nominated him for the award.
He sits on the board of directors for the Children’s Museum in La Habra and the Boys & Girls Club of La Habra/Brea. He has served as a city councilman in the past.
Last year, Robertson founded the La Habra Community Foundation to combine 12 of the city’s nonprofit groups under one organization for fund-raising purposes.
