LAGUNA BEACH
The city Arts Commission recently decided to catalog pictures of more than 20 Laguna Beach spots as possible locations for public art in the city.
Three guidebooks to be kept at City Hall will feature pictures of public sites that are available for artwork in three categories: sculptures, murals and benches.
“It’s a really great way to showcase the possibilities in the city,” said Sian Poeschl, city arts coordinator. “The books should be ready by the end of the year.”
Commissioners said they hope residents will help update the books by bringing in their suggestions to City Hall.
The city has 20 sites identified for sculptures, 15 for murals and seven for benches, Poeschl said.
