* CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE (3-1) vs. KENT STATE (2-1) at MARQUETTE TOURNAMENT, 3:30 p.m. PST--Northridge enters the four-team tournament with its first matchup against Kent State, which advanced to the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament last season. The Golden Flashes have won 23 games each of the last two seasons. Kent State edged St. Bonaventure, 56-53, on Wednesday as Trevor Huffman scored 13 points. Northridge center Brian Heinle was selected Big Sky Conference player of the week after his 32-point performance in a 70-69 loss at Nevada Las Vegas. Heinle had 13 points in the Matadors’ victory over UCLA and is averaging 19.5 a game. Marquette plays Centenary College in the other opening-round game.
