Sound Wall Plan Likely to Advance
The City Council is expected tonight to approve an agreement between the city and the Orange County Transportation Authority to construct a sound wall along the northbound side of Interstate 5 in Mission Viejo.
The council will also consider authorizing a contract with Willdan Engineering to do a feasibility study for the project for no more than $66,000.
The Transportation Authority, which approved the project last month, agreed to provide up to $75,000 to fund the study.
The sound wall would be built from La Paz Road to Alicia Parkway, serving the Aegean Hills neighborhood.
The council meets at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 25909 Pala.
