Long Dismisses 2 Longtime Aides
Just weeks after winning reelection to the county Board of Supervisors, Kathy Long has fired two longtime aides.
Long gave few reasons for her decision to let go of Greg Galloway and Mary Ann Krause, saying only that it was time for change.
“I always appreciate the support I get, but that doesn’t guarantee a role in my office,” Long said.
The firings follow a close race for Long, who maintained her seat with just a 3% margin over Camarillo City Councilman Mike Morgan.
Galloway worked for Long for two years, handling media relations and overseeing Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park and the chambers of commerce. Krause worked for Long for four years, overseeing land use and the Santa Clara Valley.
Neither Galloway nor Krause were available for comment Tuesday.
Galloway left last week, but Krause will continue working through December, Long said.
