BASEBALL
UC Riverside has signed two county baseball players, Coach Jack Smitheran announced.
They are A.J. Shappi, a starting pitcher for three seasons at Esperanza High and Andy Clay, a utility player from Canyon High who had nine home runs and 32 runs batted in last season.
