California Highway Patrol officials said Friday they want to find the good Samaritan who helped rescue a man from a burning truck after a four-car pileup on the Riverside Freeway earlier in the week.
Authorities said they want to give recognition to the man who assisted a police officer at the scene of the accident, which happened about 4 p.m. Monday in the eastbound lanes of the freeway in Yorba Linda.
The rescuer, who left the scene in a stake-bed truck, is white, about 30 years old and was wearing a work uniform, CHP officials said. His name might be Trevor or Taylor. They ask that anyone who can help them identify him call (949) 223-5454 or (714) 567-6000.
