L.A. Officers Moving to the Suburbs

* Re “Former L.A. Officers Find Support in the Suburbs,” Dec. 3.
John Hatcher III proclaims that Los Angeles Police Department officers are racist and are “used to jumping out of cars and beating people up.” Gee, I was raised that judging the actions of a group (in this case 9,170 LAPD cops), based on the actions of a few, was an obvious form of prejudice. I suppose such a vilifying blanket statement is OK coming from Hatcher because he is the president of the Ventura County NAACP, and it’s politically correct to lambaste law enforcement anyway. How sad.
