Cisco Systems Inc. said Executive Vice President Gary Daichendt is resigning to evaluate other career opportunities, becoming the second of Chief Executive John Chambers’ top two deputies to leave the company in four months. Daichendt, 49, has been in charge of worldwide sales and manufacturing. Rick Justice and Carl Redfield, senior vice presidents who now run sales and manufacturing, will report directly to Chambers, effective Monday, Cisco said. Separately, Cisco agreed to pay $155 million in stock for ExiO Communications Inc., a closely held San Jose company that develops software and equipment for transmitting wireless signals. Shares of San Jose-based Cisco fell 19 cents to close at $50.94 on Nasdaq, then fell an additional $1.50 to $49.44 in extended trading after Daichendt’s departure was announced.
