Two gunmen entered a Home Depot store on Roscoe Boulevard early Thursday morning and held several employees at gunpoint before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash from a safe, police said.
The gunmen followed 20 employees into the store in the 21000 block of Roscoe Boulevard at 5:50 a.m., said Sgt. Keith Gordon of the LAPD West Valley Division.
Shots were fired but no injuries were reported, Gordon said. Home Depot executives praised the employees’ conduct.
“Our associates followed opening and robbery procedures to the fullest extent and, as a result, no one was injured,” said Julius Moore, human resources manager of the company’s district office in Thousand Oaks.
Counselors assisted employees at the Canoga Park store, he said, which opened for business.
The incident was being investigated by West Valley Division detectives.
