In the third-place game:
No. 9 Capistrano Valley 73, No. 8 Newport Harbor 50--Matt Sweany scored 17 points and Jake Franzen added 16 for Capistrano Valley (4-1), which led, 38-18, at the half.
Tony Melum led Newport Harbor (8-3) with 18 points.
In the consolation championship:
Cypress 67, Magnolia 45--Matt Reid had 17 points and Jonathon Uyloan added 16 for the Centurions (5-3). Geoffrey Clayton led Magnolia (4-6) with 21 points.
In other consolation games:
Esperanza 70, Katella 51--Anthony Vicencia scored 21 points for Esperanza (4-6). Phillip Tyson led Katella (6-3) with 17 points.
Foothill 77, Bolsa Grande 63--Chad Bigler scored 37 points for the Knights (5-5). Omar Amaral scored 39 for Bolsa Grande (1-8).
Los Alamitos 61, Brea Olinda 51--Eddie Courtemarche scored 25 points for the Griffins (4-5), who won despite making only seven of 18 free throws. Ryan Moore led Brea Olinda (4-4) with 19 points.
Mission Viejo 73, Anaheim 43--Travis Niesen scored 18 points for the Diablos (7-3). Quinn Hawking had 16 points and Chasin Mitchell 13 for Anaheim (5-7).
Servite 54, Orange Lutheran 44--Billy Burfeind scored 26 points for the Friars (4-6). Paul Jones led Orange Lutheran (3-6) with 10 points.
