* Clements didn’t have much of a cross-country resume before the season, but he won the City Section title on Nov. 18 and placed 16th in the state Division I final a week later.

* Harley was overshadowed in Foothill League competition by Canyon’s superb foursome of Zoetewey, Llamas, Mora and Ryan Morgan, but he finished 17th in the Southern Section Division II final and 18th in the state meet.

* The fraternal twin of Tom Kubler won the Mission League title and finished fifth in the Southern Section Division IV final and seventh in the state meet.

* Lucero placed third in the Pacific View League championships and 29th in the Southern Section Division I final after missing three meets in the middle of the season with an injury.

* Flu slowed Morgan at the end of the season, but the fourth-place finisher in the Foothill League championships placed 32nd in the Southern Section Division II final and 28th in the state meet.

* Snyder, who became a full-time runner this season after splitting time between running and baseball as a freshman, placed second in the Pacific League championships and 17th in the Southern Section Division I final.
