What if Disney did not own the Angels or the Mighty Ducks, what if Bob Daly had stayed in the movie industry, what if Kevin Malone never became sheriff of Los Angeles, what if Donald Sterling was not the owner of the Clippers, what if Elgin Baylor was not general manager of the Clippers, what if Peter Dalis was not athletic director at UCLA, what if Steve Lavin was not head coach of UCLA’s basketball team, what if Mike Garrett was not athletic director at USC, what if the Dodgers never had dealt Pedro Martinez, Mike Piazza, John Wetteland or John Franco? What a wonderful world it would have been for fans of Southern California teams.
