Franzen Helps Cougars Put Away The Bishop’s
Jake Franzen scored 28 points to lead Capistrano Valley to a 75-59 victory over La Jolla The Bishop’s Saturday night in the championship game of the Governor’s Cup Division at the Torrey Pines National Prep Tournament.
Franzen was named MVP of the division. Matt Sweany had 14 points and Jeff Gloger 10 for the Cougars (11-2), ranked ninth in Orange County. Capistrano Valley outscored The Bishop’s, 21-12, in the fourth quarter.
Jaris Cole scored 24 points for The Bishop’s.
