Century Loses Title Game
Gio Amat had 25 points to help Bellflower St. John Bosco defeat Century, 69-59, in the championship game of the Century Holiday Classic at Century High School.
Chris Ferretti had 20 points and Phillip Alves had 12 for the Centurions (9-6), who trailed by 12 at halftime. They pulled to within four points with six minutes left.
In the third-place game:
La Habra 58, Dana Hills 48--Sean McDonough scored 10 of his 20 points in the third quarter as La Habra (9-6) built a 46-28 lead heading into the fourth and held on.
Travis Nelson scored a game-high 28 points for Dana Hills (8-6).
In a consolation game:
Calvary Chapel 71, Rancho Alamitos 58--Brothers Steven and Tony Olivas each scored 11 points for Calvary Chapel (9-4).
Scott Frank scored 13 and Art Aguilar 12 for Rancho Alamitos (2-11).
