Weary Brea Olinda Falls to Redondo Union
Playing its second game in 10 hours, Brea Olinda could never find its rhythm and fell to Redondo Beach Redondo Union, 50-39, in the third-place game of the Antioch Deer Valley West Coast tournament.
After finishing Friday night’s 46-41 semifinal loss to Berkeley at 11:10 p.m., the Ladycats came back for a 9 a.m. start and fell behind, 25-12, at the half. Tara Hefferly led the Ladycats, ranked third in the county, with 11 points.
