The Fur Flies

I was laughing as I read the letter from Hughie J. Barnes (“Nothing to Sneeze At,” Dec. 17), who is annoyed that cats, which can trigger asthma attacks, are allowed in the passenger cabins of some airlines. News flash: Airplanes are inherently dangerous places. A flight attendant could spill hot coffee on you, or the plane could crash.
If you are concerned about the possibility of an asthma attack, take your inhaler or find an airline that does not allow cats. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find an airline that guarantees that I will not have to sit next to a smelly creep who gets belligerent when more drinks are not forthcoming. But I’m still traveling. C’est la vie.
