More than two months after the City Council requested that the new bus stop at Los Alisos Boulevard be eliminated, transit officials said they will comply with the city’s request. Kurt Brotcke, principal transportation analyst for the Orange County Transportation Authority, wouldn’t comment on the reason for the delay, but said that the bus stop would be gone soon. “It is expected to be moved this week,” Brotcke said. Council members met with representatives of the authority in November to discuss how the new bus stop and bus routes along Los Alisos Boulevard have affected neighboring residents. About 35 residents told the council in September that the increase in pollution, noise and traffic had a negative impact on their lives. This month, the council approved spending $150,000 on street repairs to move the buses onto a private commercial street.
