Fullerton Earns Two Softball Wins

Cal State Fullerton won twice at the New Mexico softball tournament Sunday in Albuquerque, N.M.
Freshman Jodie Cox had two hits, drove in the eventual winning run and was the winning pitcher in Fullerton’s 3-2 victory over Tulsa.
Freshman Gina Oaks had two hits, including a double to drive in Cox with the winning run, and struck out four in four innings to earn the victory for Fullerton (6-0) in a 4-3 decision over Colorado State.
In Big West Conference women’s basketball:
Cal Poly 74, UC Irvine 69--Megan Stafford had 16 points and eight assists for the visiting Anteaters (10-10, 4-4). The Mustangs are 6-13, 2-5.
