Tekelec Reports Drop in 4th-Quarter Income
Tekelec, Calabasas, reported net income for the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 31 of $5.2 million compared to $13.8 million for the same period the previous year. Revenues increased to $76.9 million compared to $49.2 million.
Net income for the year that ended Dec. 31 was $440,000 compared to $39 million for 1998. Revenues rose to $226.1 million from $176.7 million.
Tekelec supplies signaling and control systems and develops switching and diagnostic solutions for telecommunications industries.
