Re “4 Victims of Midair Collision Loved to Fly,” Feb. 9: Your article makes this public nuisance hobby sound romantic. I don’t enjoy hearing of the untimely death of anyone.
But face it, these private planes are a public nuisance, a major source of noise and chemical pollution. Small private planes should go the way of the horseshoe and be displayed in museums as dumb relics of the barnstorming era.
