Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 89, UC Irvine 75--The Mustangs started with a 26-4 run and never trailed in front of 1,006 in the Bren Center.
The win was only the Mustangs’ third in the last 17 games.
The Anteaters (10-12, 3-8) pulled to within 47-41 with 16:36 left, but Irvine’s Jerry Green missed a three-point attempt and the Mustangs (8-15, 3-8) went on a 14-1 run.
