Conference on ‘Reality Quest’ Scheduled at Chapman
Chapman University will hold a conference called “Relational Hermeneutics in a Fractured World: the Reality-Quest at the Turn of the Millennium” on Feb. 25 and 26 on the Chapman campus in Orange.
The conference is sponsored by Chapman’s department of religious studies, the Wallace All Faiths Chapel, Chapman University School of Law and the Center for Process Studies in Claremont. Call (714) 628-7260 for information.
The free conference will cover hermeneutics--the study of how people create meaning--by featuring scholars from many disciplines. Presentations will range from “Early Christianity Seen from Vampire Studies,” “Postmodern Religious Discourse” and “Elusive Biblical Boundaries: the Bible, Same-Sex Sex and Love.”
