New York Met pitcher Bill Pulsipher underwent another set of tests Saturday to determine why he collapsed last week.

Internist John Olichney and his son John M. Olichney, a neurologist from UC San Diego, gave Pulsipher a thorough examination and studied all of the hospital test results, General Manager Steve Phillips said.

“On Monday we’re going to schedule Bill for a stress echocardiogram,” Phillips said. “We’re going to put a halter monitor on him, which he’ll wear for a 24-hour period.”

Pulsipher collapsed unconscious in his bathroom Wednesday and was taken to a hospital with breathing difficulties and a slow heartbeat. He was released Thursday and worked out Friday.
