Theater Festival to Celebrate Women
“CelebrateWomen 2000,” an all-day theater festival celebrating positive images of women, will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature 50 free theater performances at local libraries, bookstores, museums and small theaters.
Among the presentations will be Leigh Podgorski’s “We’re Still Here” at the Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum at 2 p.m.; “Women in Railroading” at Griffith Park’s Travel Town Railroad Museum at noon and 3 p.m.; and “Two Grandmas From Brooklyn” at Borders Santa Monica at 4:30 p.m.
