Premier Line Cancels Sailings From Cancun
Premier Cruises, which last month launched new round-trip Mexico cruises from Cancun and Puerto Vallarta, has canceled the sailings from Cancun, citing “soft interest” and “higher than anticipated costs.” The millennium cruise, ending today, is the last one; sailings from Puerto Vallarta continue.
The cancellations affect about 200 people, who are being offered a full refund or rebooking on other Premier cruises, said Teresa Hall, Premier marketing representative in the line’s Cape Canaveral, Fla., headquarters. She said Premier began calling affected passengers Dec. 24. The ship used for the sailings, the Triton, which was chartered from Royal Olympic Cruises, will be returned to that line, she added.
Premier said it has “strong demand” for its new three- and four-night Puerto Vallarta sailings, which visit Acapulco and Cabo San Lucas. Tel. (800) 990-7770.
