VILLA PARK
The City Council voted last week to get bids to plant Melaleuca trees along the front of Villa Park High School.
The trees are being planted to replace the 15 pines that will be removed because they have damaged the sidewalk, which is being renovated as a student loading zone.
The sidewalk’s condition is a hazard and potential liability to the city, officials said.
