The When and Where of a Solid Week of Presidential Debates
Political junkies may get their fill this week, as the presidential candidates debate their rivals five times in the next six days.
All of the debates will be televised nationally. Here’s how to look, listen and log on:
* Today: Democratic candidates Bill Bradley and Al Gore meet in Durham, N.H., 4-5 p.m. PST. On TV: C-SPAN, KCET and MSNBC. On radio: KCRW, 89.9 FM. On the Web: https://www.msnbc.com and https://www.kcrw.org for audio only.
* Thursday: Republican candidates Gary Bauer, George W. Bush, Steve Forbes, Orrin G. Hatch, Alan Keyes and John McCain debate in Durham, 4-5 p.m. PST. Today’s broadcasters will also carry this debate.
* Friday: The Republicans debate in Lexington, S.C. MSNBC will televise the event and put it on its Web site beginning at 5 p.m. PST
* Saturday: The Democrats debate in Johnston, Iowa, 11 a.m. PST. Broadcast schedule to be announced.
* Monday: The Republicans debate in Grand Rapids, Mich., at 4 p.m. PST. Broadcast schedule to be announced.
