The city of Laguna Woods cannot be brought into Leisure World’s suit against the federal government over the proposed El Toro Airport, said a Golden Rain Foundation board member.
Kirk Watilo, community and government relations director, said Laguna Woods does not have a claim to Leisure World’s property and that prevents the city from joining the lawsuit.
Last month, the Golden Rain Foundation of Laguna Hills sued the federal government over the right to develop property that is under a flyover zone of the former Marine air base proposed as a commercial airport.
