The Sylmar girls’ team anticipates getting a boost from Stephanie Cisneros, a 5-9 junior forward who was expected to join the Spartans this week.
Cisneros, a volleyball standout, was a top player on the junior varsity basketball team as a freshman.
Choosing to concentrate on club volleyball, Cisneros did not play basketball last year and wasn’t expected to play this season.

Cisneros’ addition should help Sylmar (5-10), which has lost several players for various reasons.
