MISSION VIEJO
As of Wednesday, the city had received letters of intent and resumes from 16 residents who will be considered by the City Council to fill the seat left vacant when Councilman Tom Potocki died Dec. 28. The council will appoint a replacement at its meeting Monday night. Other residents wishing to be considered may submit letters to the city clerk until Monday.
The council’s appointee will serve on the council until a regular election is held for the seat in November.
