Dolores G. Calzada; Retired Citrus Worker
Dolores G. Calzada, a retired citrus worker, died Thursday at her home in Santa Paula. She was 80.
Born on June 12, 1919, she lived all her life in Santa Paula.
After World War II, she met her future husband, Felix, whom she married in 1947.
The couple enjoyed sightseeing locally and throughout California, dining out, playing bingo and attending Saturday evening Mass.
She had worked for the Mupu Citrus Assn. for 40 years before retiring.
In addition to her husband of 52 years, she is survived by a daughter, Irene Cota of Camarillo; a son, Richard of Ventura; sisters Lupe Robles and Connie Carrillo of Santa Paula; a brother, Natividad Garcia of Santa Paula; and five grandchildren.
A vigil is scheduled at 7 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Santa Paula. A funeral Mass is scheduled at 10 a.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Bros. Stetler Mortuary in Santa Paula.
