White Cap Industries Inc., which sells tools to building contractors in the West, said Tuesday that its board of directors has postponed a special meeting of stockholders that had been called to approve a $240-million merger.
The meeting was moved to 9 a.m. Feb. 7 at the Doubletree hotel in Costa Mesa. The special meeting originally was scheduled for Friday.
The Costa Mesa company said in a press release that it remains confident that it will secure sufficient votes to approve its acquisition by its management and a group led by Leonard Green & Partners LP, a Los Angeles private merchant bank.
