SEASON AT A GLANCE: The 6-foot point guard has been a dominant player in leading the Wolverines to a 5-0 start and a two-game lead in the Mission League. Lakey is averaging 22.6 points and 5.8 assists. He has been at his best late in games, drawing fouls or making shots to frustrate opponents.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Lakey started the week with a 36-point performance in a 76-73 victory over Chaminade, including a four-point play with 12 seconds left. He scored 17 points in a victory over St. Francis. He ended the week by scoring 30 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, in a victory over Notre Dame.

YEAR: Junior
SPORT: Basketball
SEASON AT A GLANCE: With her dribbling skills and accurate shooting, McCutcheon has forged a turnaround for the Antelopes, who went 11-29 the previous two seasons. With McCutcheon leading the way, the Antelopes, who were 4-16 in Golden League play over the same time, are in first place at 3-0, and 14-2 overall.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: McCutcheon came through in two of the biggest victories in years for Antelope Valley. She had 27 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, and seven assists in a victory over Quartz Hill. Then she scored 21 points and had six assists in a 61-42 victory over Littlerock.
