BUENA PARK
The project development director for Knott’s Berry Farm spent the day at City Hall on Wednesday trying to get permits for construction of the region’s newest water theme park.
Planning Commissioners unanimously approved the project amid protests from some residents who live along Stanton Avenue, across the street from the park site. During Tuesday’s meeting, they angrily voiced concerns regarding potential noise levels, traffic and aesthetics.
Commissioners said that the noise levels are within city limits and that it is significant that the park will only be open four months out of the year with limited hours.
