Codini Helps Laguna Beach Pull Plug on University

Teresa Codini scored seven goals, including the game-winner in the final three minutes, to help Laguna Beach defeat University, 7-6, in a Pacific Coast League girls’ water polo game Wednesday at Laguna Beach High.
Goalie Lina Moore stopped a four-meter penalty shot with 29 seconds remaining to seal the victory for the Artists (13-8, 2-1).
In the Sea View League:
No. 1 Irvine 12, Aliso Niguel 3--Nicole Lorrimer and Lindsay Stephens each scored three goals for host Irvine (12-2, 2-0).
No. 4 Newport Harbor 12, Laguna Hills 5--Kyndra Cox scored seven goals for visiting Newport Harbor (13-3, 1-1).
In the Sunset League:
No. 6 Marina 12, Huntington Beach 4--Cara Chlebicki scored five goals for Marina (10-5, 3-0).
In a nonleague game:
Rosary 17, Mater Dei 2--Natalie Golda scored seven of her 11 goals in the first quarter for Rosary (11-8).
