Khabibulin Wins First Start

Two-time NHL all-star goalie Nikolai Khabibulin won his first start as an Ice Dog on Saturday night in a 3-2 shootout road victory over the Kansas City Blades.
Khabibulin, who has been holding out all season with the Phoenix Coyotes, stopped all five shots he faced in the shootout as the Ice Dogs won for the second consecutive time under the format.
Frantisek Kaberle scored the only goal in the tiebreaker, getting one past Kansas City goalie Tyler Moss.
