The ice cream man might be suspended from local schools if the city can pass an ordinance to prohibit vending before and after school hours.
The idea for this ordinance began when some parents alerted the traffic commission and City Council about ice cream trucks around the schools, claiming they created a disturbance in traffic.

The traffic commission meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the City Council Chambers, 27841 La Paz Road.
