ORLANDO, Fla. — A two-goal deficit was too much for the Ice Dogs to overcome Thursday night in a 2-1 loss to the Orlando Solar Bears.
Shawn Carter scored Orlando’s first goal in the second period when the puck took a bad bounce off the boards behind the net and ended up in front of the goal and on Carter’s stick.
Brett Clark scored the game-winning goal at 9:44 of the second period.
Alan Egeland scored the Ice Dogs’ goal in the third period.
The Ice Dogs (22-21-6) outshot Orlando (25-14-5), 30-24, but Scott Langkow stopped 29 of 30 shots.
