You Can’t Say Angels Aren’t Making Moves

I can see the rest of the American League shaking in its boots, now that Bill Stoneman has put his master plan into action. In one day, the Angels not only signed that fearsome 42-year-old knuckleballer, Tom Candiotti, but re-signed 31-year-old career minor leaguer Steve Mintz.
Man, I’m sure glad the Angels didn’t re-sign Chuck Finley so they could save some of their budget for the big plans they had for the pitching staff.
Prediction: The 2000 Angels will challenge the 40-120 expansion New York Mets for the worst record in major league history.
