Thanks to rising full-time student enrollment, Coast Community College District employees are scheduled to get their second pay increase in a month, boosting their pay by more than 10% this year, officials said.
State education officials have granted the district $1.9 million in what is known as a growth fund because of a jump in enrollment during the 1999-2000 school year.
As a result, trustees are expected to approve a 6.5% across-the-board salary increase for employees at Wednesday’s board meeting, board President Jerry Patterson said.
The district encompasses Orange Coast, Coastline and Golden West colleges.
