Other economic data due this week
* Tuesday, the Commerce Department will release its monthly study on personal income and consumption. Also on Tuesday, U.S. markets will get their first glimpse of third-quarter economic growth when the National Assn. of Purchasing Management releases its July index of manufacturing activity.
* Wednesday, new-home sales data released by the Commerce Department will help determine whether the recent string of interest rates further reined in housing activity in June. Also on Wednesday, the index of leading economic indicators, a gauge of economic growth over the next six to nine months, will be released by the Conference Board, a business research group.
* Thursday, the Commerce Department releases a report on the number of factory orders recorded in June.
